Mission: To bring a fresh perspective on Exercise and Nutrition by incorporating students’ current interests (music, television, fashion, internet, etc) into a highly interactive and challenging educational experience that uses real-life applications and corresponds to topics being covered in other classes; thereby easing the burden on teachers, increasing involvement of parents, and accelerating the fitness levels of the students.

We are all aware of the problem, the statistics on childhood obesity are overwhelming, especially in California. The solution is to employ a Physical Education Program (PEP) that will give students the tools to prepare them for a lifelong healthy lifestyle.

Lanré has developed a system that delivers quick and effective results. The system utilizes a cross-disciplinary approach, from Pilates to Resistance Training, to maximize efficiency and bring about happier and healthier students. Programming is commensurate to the ability levels of the students.
The program is agreed upon by the trainer and school administration and may look something like this:
Introduction – Fundamentals of fitness, Benefits of fitness
Explanation – Specific exercises, Muscles involved, Importance of exercise
Demonstration – General and specific exercises, volunteers will be selected to promote participation
Aptitude Assessment – Student baseline, to determine “starting point” and aid in need-specific program development
Identification – Students in need of additional support, teams will be formed, captains and/or partners will be assigned to promote continued peer-support
Assignments – Take home exercises may be distributed, reinforcing PEP curriculum

In this sedentary, society our muscles and joints can become very stiff and painful. Assisted stretching and massage can help relieve pain and stiffness as well as reduce stress, relax you and promote an overall state of well-being. An increasing number of research studies show stretch and massage reduce heart rate, lowers blood pressure, increases blood circulation and lymph flow, relaxes muscles, improves range of motion, and increases endorphins (enhancing your mood).
